Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Elis Taylor is actress, American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as an actress in films for her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She graduated with a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. She started acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and TV series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995, she made her debut in the role of Ariel on stage in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include the Broadway production of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In the film industry her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television on ABC's drama series about police High Incident has earned her the praise of her fellow actors.
